Art Tours Ltd was founded in 2008 by James McDonaugh.
After leaving The Courtauld Institute of Art in 2003, James began guiding in Italy and developed a career as a freelance art history lecturer. He has lead trips for The Courtauld Institute of Art, The Art Fund, Historic New England, and The House of Lords, as well as for numerous special interest groups, VIPs and travel companies.
James has a Masters in Philosophy & Theology from Oxford University, and a Diploma in Art History and a Masters in Architectural History from The Courtauld Institute of Art. The focus of his own research and lecturing is in Italy, Turkey and Greece.
He is driven to constantly add to the experiences of his clients.
