We can plan a host of outdoor activities so you can experience the best the countryside has to offer. This could be everything from country walks and boat trips to falconry displays and riding horses with an Olympic champion. Tell us what you dream of doing as we love being stretched.

English countryside

We are known for our exclusive access to private houses and collections in England. Access that goes well beyond the obvious offered by other operators or a DMC. Some of our most important visits we might only offer once a year. All visits to country houses on our tours are done privately. We have connections with over 100.

Blenheim Palace

One of the great pleasures of England is the countryside and no trip to England is really complete without it. We organise the most wonderful day trips outside London to visit beautiful houses and gardens and can of course arrange for you to stay in a number of fine country hotels (or even grand stately homes). Over the years we have organised trips to over 20 different counties in England.

Garden folly

With over a decade of experience designing trips around London for families, we have hundreds of itinerary possibilities to share with you not to mention knowledge of the finest hotels and restaurants. We work with a handful of the most brilliant and engaging guides, we offer wonderful behind the scenes visits and we have many secrets to share with you.

Exploring London
Tower of London

In the summer there are expansive vistas to explore along the Danube in the company of our charming driver-guides. East of Vienna is Budapest, and they make great siblings to visit together!

Pest makes up most of the city. Its flat plain boasts grand avenues and interiors to rival even Vienna. Some parts mimic Paris and others mimic Rome, although its home-grown architecture can also be stunning. Pest turns an elegant face to the Danube, and its parliament building is perhaps the world’s most beautiful. It has three opulently decorated synagogues but these are not museums - the former Jewish district is lively, not least thanks to the large Jewish population.

Budapest St Stephen's Basilica

Budapest is tale of two cities. Historic Buda is sited on its own plateau. Here eighteenth-century streets quickly give way to many magnificent views over the River Danube and Pest on one side, and out across rolling hills on the other. Even higher hills within the city limits offer panoramas that have to be seen to be believed, and Art Tours’ guides can chauffeur you to these highlights.
