No visit to St Petersburg would be complete without a carefully planned cultural programme to see some of the world’s finest museums and palaces. For over a decade we have been designing VIP tours of the city: meet curators, museums directors and visit museums after they have been closed to the public. Our two local guides are wonderful.
There are magical performances every year at a number of venues in St Petersburg, from the world famous Mariinsky Theatre to the delightful theatre inside The Hermitage. The Mikhailovsky theatre is also superb. Stars come from all over the world to dance here, but some of the greatest dancers are trained in St Petersburg and Moscow. We can arrange behind the scenes access and even private performances.

Too many visitors to Puglia miss the array of beautiful towns and villages, which boast magnificent art and architecture. Our local guide can pick you up one morning and show you nearby treasures with lunch in hidden away restaurants in pretty hilltop towns. Puglia has some of Europe’s finest Romanesque architecture not mention delightful baroque towns.
We work with only a handful of villa owners who offer superb local chefs. Meals are simple and utterly delicious. Puglia is the ‘fruit and veg’ basket of Italy and has fabulous markets. Why not accompany the chef to a market early one morning? Many ingredients are harvested from the villas’ kitchen gardens.
Puglia produces some delicious wines, especially the red Primitivo and Negromaro varieties and white Verdacca. They are generally good value and easy to drink. The most interesting wines are on the Salentine peninsula. We can arrange wine tastings at your villa as well as visits to masserie who produce their own wines.
Why not take a beautiful villa and have the finest ingredients prepared for you each day? Our favourite property is set within its own private estate, produces fabulous olive oil and you can even pick your own herbs for evening cocktails from the kitchen garden. There are wonderful restaurants a short drive away for an evening out and glamorous crowds descend on nearby beaches.
